FindTopMusic charts are a human-reviewed shortlist with community signals, not a pay-to-win leaderboard.
What shapes organic rank
- Curator judgment: the strongest signal. We listen for replay value, a clear point of view, and a finished presentation.
- Listener engagement: deduplicated track-page visits, permitted previews, and source clickouts.
- Freshness: newer approved tracks receive a temporary discovery lift.
- Transparency: clear AI, creator, source, genre, and rights information improves a track readiness.
- Community actions: legitimate likes, saves, and shares contribute a smaller signal.
What does not buy rank
Paid promotion never changes organic chart score. Sponsored tracks appear in clearly labeled sponsored surfaces and are excluded from the organic chart query. A campaign can buy visibility, not a fake endorsement or guaranteed position.
How we protect the signal
Events are deduplicated per track and visitor window. Tracks without a usable source, review note, genre, and rights-ready status are kept out of indexable public discovery until a curator can review them. We may remove or correct tracks after a rights complaint or a material metadata change.
